With Huang Qin, drains Heat from the Lungs and stops coughing and wheezing.
Cx. Lycii Di Gu Pi 12g Clears and drains Heat in the Lung.
With Sang Bai Pi, for Lung Heat coughing or wheezing.
With Huang Qin, for Blood Deficiency, Steaming Bone Disorder, or other recurrent afternoon fevers.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 12g Drains Fire and detoxifies.
With Sang Bai Pi, Gua Lou Ren and Xing Ren, for acute and chronic coughing due to Lung Heat.
With Sang Bai Pi and Zhi Mu, for Lung Heat coughing.
Rz. Anemarrhenae Zhi Mu 12g Clears Heat and drains Fire from the Qi Stage, from the Lungs and from the Stomach, nourishes Yin, moistens Dryness, generates Fluids, clears Deficiency Fire and quenches thirst.
With Zhi Mu, for coughing with Excess Lung Heat.
Bul. Fritillariae Cirrhosae Chuan Bei Mu 10g Clears Heat, transforms Phlegm, stops coughing and nourishes and moistens the Lungs.
With Zhi Mu, for coughing with scanty, difficult to expectorate sputum due to Yin Deficiency Fire burning the Lungs.
With Xing Ren, for a non-productive cough from Lung Deficiency disorders and coughing of thick, yellow sputum due to Phlegm-Fire.
Sm. Armeniacae Xing Ren 10g Stops coughing and calms wheezing.
Rx. Stemonae Bai Bu 15g Moistens the Lungs and stops coughing.
With Chuan Bei Mu, for coughing and chest pain due to Phlegm Heat.
Sm. Trichosanthis Gua Lou Ren 18g Clears Heat, transforms Hot Phlegm and cools and moistens the Lungs.
Fol. Eriobotryae Pi Pa Ye 15g Transforms Phlegm, clears Lung Heat, descends Lung Qi and stops coughing.
With Xing Ren, for a Lung Heat induced non-productive cough or cough with viscous sputum that is difficult to expectorate, with chest pain and a dry throat.
With Sang Bai Pi and Jie Geng, for coughing and wheezing from Dry Heat with difficult-to-expectorate sputum, a dry mouth and a red tongue.
Rx. Platycodi Jie Geng 10g Opens the Lungs, spreads Lung Qi, expels Phlegm, benefits the throat and raises Lung Qi, directing the effects of other herbs to the upper body.
